14th Annual Christmas Baskets for Families in Need

 Press Release

14th Annual Christmas Baskets for Families in Need

The Hispanic American Police Command Officers’ Association-National Capitol Region (HAPCOA-NCR), the Hispanic National Law Enforcement Association (HNLEA), the United Black Police Officers’ Association (UBPOA), Association Police Attaché Latin America (APALA), El Zol 107.9 FM along with the Prince George’s County Police Department will be providing the community with food baskets for the holidays.  “As you know, families in need and individuals in our community go without proper food, clothing, and the day to day essentials due to a variety of factors including low wages, job loss, and injuries or illnesses. While we are all susceptible to hard times, women and children are at the most risk, and they make up the largest number of community members that we strive to help, “said HAPCOA-NCR President, Joe Perez.

Last year through the use of the Police Department’s facility, we were able to help over one thousand (1000) families with food baskets. This annual event, which will feature Spanish radio station El Zol 107.9, will be broadcast live from the Community Policing Services Building located at 8011 New Hampshire Avenue, Langley Park MD.
Anyone interested in donating to this great cause can drop off food at the PGPD Community Policing Services Building.
